Amie Deiter, who's five months pregnant with twins and living homeless in Durango, stands alongside her partner Andrew Miller. Together they have navigated the coronavirus pandemic, camping at the Purple Cliff's homeless camp, but without running water they will face custody challenges from the State of Colorado when thier children are born. Deiter is connected with a local nonprofit -- Community Compassion Outreach -- which meets every Saturday in a local park to offer meals to people living homeless. The Purple Cliffs homeless camp is sanctioned by La Plata County, where latrines and trash service are provided for the camp's growing number of residents.
