Historic wildfires have burned through much of Colorado, California and Oregon in recent years, unprecedented in size and scope. While many say that decades of wildfire suppression is to blame, the effects of warmer temperatures and extreme drought in these arid regions are also to blame. Sustained drought and radicle weather patterns, combined with already unhealthy forests, have sparked some of the largest wildfires in recorded history. (Jeremy Wade Shockley/ The Southern Ute Drum)
