The lightening storm came from the south as we were cleaning an animal at nightfall. The sky became dark & foreboding along the high ridge as a bolt of white light spread itself in the sky directly above us. Then came the cold, driving sleet. We grabbed essential items, un chambered our rifles and made a dash for lower ground. Cracks of electricity illuminating our way...we found this depression in the hillside and hunkered down. Fear was the only thing that struck our group that night. I stopped by to make this image as we rolled out on the final afternoon of hunting.
